Shop update: Off to Marrakech!

Did you catch our newest update on Facebook, or better yet dropped by the shop over the last weekend? If you did, you're probably one of the ladies who picked up our new DUSK Tasseled Earrings (we hope you're loving your pair!). If you haven't had the chance to, we can't wait for you to have a try: The delicate earrings have an incredible way of brightening and prettying up the face.

Made with semi-precious gemstones, 18K gold-plated hooks, gorgeously coloured tassels, and coated with heady Moroccan-accented romance: To get you in the same mood, you HAVE to see this beautiful series of Marrakech travel by blogger Jamie Beck. And read more about Marrakech on wikipedia right here.

The new DUSK Tasseled Earrings, $58, are now available at soon lee. Do join us on our facebook for more product updates: www.facebook.com/soonlee.singapore

This is the most amazing thing. A mountain in the United States hand-painted by a man who has lived there for years and years. See more awesome photos here.

Shop update: Swing, sing, and dance in May!

If you haven't been round to our shop over the last weekend, you have to come by soon to see our new Irregular Choice shoes. As usual, they are joyful, colourful, big (HUGE!) in quirkiness and style. We love how they easily perk up a classic black dress, and jazz up just about every outfit we put on.

This collection, we have them in cute sandals, a gorgeous black Flapper-inspired velvet number, and the iconic look for this season: Beautifully bunched flowers on heels. What can we say? It really is time to swing and dance away! Prices range from $169, to $249.

Shop update: Swing, sing, and dance in May ~~ part 2

Speaking of which, have you caught the trailer for upcoming film The Great Gatsby?

We highly recommend reading the book before going for the film adaptation. Spoilers aside, it's always very big fun reading classic books: We love the old language styles, the dramatic premises, and beautiful old world setting. Plus how cool to learn about the historical context of a time so different from ours. There's a great link on the 1920s Flapper girls here if you're interested.

And how can we not plug our very pretty goods at soon lee? We've got the original book (a beautifully illustrated version published by Penguin), we've got the shoes (Irregular Choice of course!), and we've got the jewellery (have you seen/tried/purchased a Hadasity necklace?).

Come find us if you want a roaring twenties makeover! We promise fun times and great music. Also, photos of Carey Mulligan in this post, from the latest issue of Vogue, and trailer of the movie here.

Shop update: New arrivals for March!

Have you seen the latest copy of Vogue in our shop? It's the annual Power issue, and we absolutely love it. Girl power has come a long way: From the fight for women's rights in the 60's, to today's continual struggle in certain countries for equal treatment. The now-iconic Pakistani teenager Malala Yousafzai and her shocking experience, the Indian gang-rape case are just two of, we're sure, many incidents of women suffering from unjust treatment.

This month at soon lee, we want to channel our tribute to power with a cheerful note. Let's celebrate strength, celebrate work and raise our glasses to womanhood.

To get us back on track at work (after the whirlwind festivities), we've prepared a series of work-ready outfits: From soft printed blouses, the cutest tweed skirts, a cool faux-leather dress, to pretty knit top and hardworking structured dresses. And you HAVE to check out the leather bags too. They are handsome and should fit all of your documents. Plus, you might really like the leather business-card holders (ask about a multi-tier one that is super useful!).

Time to sit tight, sharpen our minds up, and make great progress in our careers.

The new March 2013 arrivals are out in store now. See you soon!
